Glory's Birthday at Memaw's

Memaw made the pretty flower cake :)

Happy Birthday Glory!

Glory, you had one crazy slumber party for your 9th birthday girl!  Here are some of the highlights:

At the last minute, you decided you needed party hats.  Do you ask me to run to the store and buy some?  NO!  of course not!  It's you, Glory!  You grab some paper and get busy!  They're way better than any you could have bought.  You rolled, cut, taped, hole punched and added yarn.  You let your friends decorate them when they arrived with stickers and markers.  You rock girl.

Here's your cupcake tree.  You decorate each individual cupcake yourself - "Glory style!"

And this is pretty much how you eat every cupcake - it must taste better if you put a little icing around your lips :)  Your friends of course did the same:

Glory, how I love you and all your friends!  You children light up my life!  Freedom, oh my goodness - we don't have TV around here - where in the world did you get that pose?!?!?!?!

And this is where the party really got crazy.  This is what you asked for - toilet paper.  You've been a good girl this year - so here ya go!  Lots and lots of toilet paper!!!!

This is where they are all screaming, "This is the BEST slumber party ever!!!!  Mrs. Burgin rocks!!!"  Yep, that's me.  :)

OK, now do you notice little white dots all over the pictures?  Turns out those little white dots are "toilet paper dust" - yes, the house was covered in it.

Yes, I asked you all to clean up and you all did a great job - well, most of you anyway!  Especially you Emily - you're one of the best helpers I know!!!

Happy Birthday Glory - you are wonderfully and fearfully made - marvelously made and your dad and I are absolutely crazy about ya!!!
