Ranch Visit

Memaw and Papaw were having a porch added to their ranch trailer.  Glory and I spent a few homeschool days over there with Memaw while they had that work done.

Look at that sunset!

Evening time in jammies is the best!

Got a visit from the zebra!

Buliding the porch out front.

Hamburgers and curly fries - Glory's fave!

And...ugly hair!

Father/Son Camp Penial

These two are headed out to Father/Son Ranch Weekend at Camp Penial.  Boy, I'm a BLESSED woman to have these good looking men to call my own!  WOW!

They road horses.

And saw lamas.

And cleaned the horse stalls.

And LOVED on GUS THE DONKEY.

They played games at night and apparently Freedom ran his dad right into a wall when playing blind-folded horsey.  The girls and I went to Mother/Daughter Horse Weekend a few months later and they were still making fun of the "father and son" who did that.  I was proud to say, "HEY!  Those were MY boys!"  hahahaha

Trying Out For The Voice

We drove to Houston Friday after school!  We're here y'all!  Paperwork in hand!

We made it to the hotel!  Cool glass art!  Cool elevator!  Papaw bought our hotel room, which was REALLY nice!  THANK YOU!  We only had to wake up and WALK to The Voice Tryouts!

View from our room.

We walked by these guys on the way to the try-outs.  They were yelling about hell, fire and brimstone.  I've never seen anything like it before!

The walk was REALLY AWESOME.  Amazing landscape and art!

This wall art had "windows" in it, so you just HAD to look in!

We stood in line outside for HOURS upon HOURS!  Lots of people there.  A blind Indian lady and what looked like her dad cut right in front of us after we had waited about an hour.

Getting closer to the door.  Found some baseballs to take pictures on!

Cool cross peering above the trees.

We made it in the building and we have a paper!

MORE waiting.  Look - a baseball field!

And more waiting.

And hey!  We get to ride an escalator while in line!

HEY!  We made it to our try-out room!  This guy is taking the paper!  He was SUPER nice and energetic AND encouraging!

It was Room 12 people.

These two little beauties in the try-out room waiting for their turn.  I was allowed (and actually HAD) to go in with them since they were underage.

Well, they're showing us the door our.  Didn't make the cut!  But, still smiling!

Walking back to our hotel and car.  Found this cool garden of - balls on sticks.

Really liked this globe map in the hotel behind us here.

And on the way home, for the first time, I went into a Buc-ee's.  Yeah, it's a BIG OLE' convenient store!
