We had Freedom's Birthday Party a week after his birthday. Burgin Birthday Parties are home, marked with lots of balloons and crepe paper.
I remember the days when I would stay up late at night prepping and decorating the house. NOT ANY MORE because I've got these two sweethearts helping me out!!! The girls did all the decorating. All I had to do was pull out the air compressor and blow up balloons and take them to the store! They are AWESOME and as a friend of mine said so rightly, "I don't deserve them."
Helium balloons! :)
And here's an assortment of animal balloons the girls made.
It's been a few years since we made our gum/candy cars. They were a big hit and so cute! The girls AND my awesome helper Glory made these!
Jumping on the trampoline!
Glory was PARTICULARLY spunky!!! :)
We're so glad you could come sweet friend!
LOVE these streamers Rebekah! THANK YOU!
Upstairs is OFF LIMITS! :)
Decorating treat bags
Freedom and his balloon parrot Joy made! Both girls have gotten so good with balloon animals!
More decorating treat bags!
And Rebekah decorated the table with colorful sequins! I love them! Thanks Rebekah!
Balloon ray gun fight - we had ray guns, swords AND balloon whips! This was SUPER fun! One little boy would shoot with his ray gun - when the victim fell, he would slash his throat with his balloon sword. :) I love boys.
pew pew! Joy fell over immediately when Rebekah snuck up and attacked.
In battle
Sneak attack
I think Glory made every ray gun! She was so sweet and kind to stop play to make the next person a gun :) I love and APPRECIATE you Glo!
Did I mention Glory was particularly spunky? Here's more proof.
Pinata time. 2 pinatas and 2 lines by age. Memaw is laying down the rules.
OK! We're ready to get started!
Oh dear! Yes, the camera shot the picture at EXACTLY the right time. Love the sneeze into the balloon and silly faces.
Candy pile.
The famous Memaw Cake :) Thanks Memaw!

Freedom is conducting the Happy Birthday song with his arms.
All around the table.
Rebekah presented Freedom with a Birthday Boy ribbon :) She bought it when we were getting decorations. It was $1.00. She paid me back later. I said, "That's OK, you don't have to pay me back." She swished the dollar across the table and said, "But then it wouldn't be from ME!" Did I mention I don't deserve these kids?
Joy doesn't care for cake. So Memaw forced her to try some icing. Joy is kind to try it and then cocks her head to the side, smiles and says, "I don't care for icing either." I will never forget a trip to Nanny's. Memaw had Oreos. We break open the package and Joy says, "No thank you, I just like to smell them." She never did eat an oreo on that 6 hour trip. God love her.
The presents! Freedom you did a GREAT job thanking all of your dear & generous friends.
Before he opened the present, he read the card out loud...after reading it in its entirety he called for a group hug from "The Four Boys" :) They are all brothers.
LOVE this picture.
Rebekah got Freedom this bubble thing with glasses that cause you to see stars when you look at the bubbles through them. She was hoping before we got it out that it wasn't cheesy and would actually work. It wouldn't really make great bubbles :( BUT it was FUN to try :)
I AM BLESSED to say this is my son. No, I don't deserve any of this...and the great gift of family is not lost on me.
Memaw and Freedom
Me and my spunky girl.
And where was Daddy in all this? He was upstairs with a cold. :( But, he bought it all and hung the pinatas for us in advance. And he enjoyed hearing the crazy fun downstairs and looked out the windows into the backyard to enjoy the festivities.
