I'm Thankful for Today

I'm THANKFUL for the life I've been given.

Freedom painted me this picture today.  He said it's a tree made out of the cross.  He also informed me today that he loves to make up praise songs to the Lord.  Earlier in the day, he shared a distressing problem with me.  He said his library book was overdue and he couldn't find it ANYWHERE.  I said I'd help him find it.  And if we didn't find it, I'd just pay to have it replaced.

He responded, "Well, I'll have to pay half."

"Why?" I asked and continued with a smile, "That's not necessary.  I've got the whole thing covered.  How do you like them apples?"

"Well, it's just not fair!  I mean you didn't lose the book.  You shouldn't have to pay if you didn't do it.  It's just not fair."

Oh, how I loved explaining that away.  Jesus paid the price for our sins and He didn't do anything wrong either!  Freedom protested with a HUGE GRIN, "Yeah, but that's JESUS."

"Yes, son, and I want to look as much like him as I can."

Freed's distress was overcome satisfaction at this thought.

Everal made me this picture full of hearts and a beautiful purple color she mixed together.  Glory, Everal and I jumped on the trampoline after dark in the cool of the night - we held hands and just jumped around and around giggling.   This was Glory's crazy idea and I'm so glad she had it!  Her other crazy idea was to get me in the picture since we all 3 jumped...but I'm not very good at selfies.

At tuck-in, she plugged her MP3 player into her I-dog and listened to Carmen.  "This blood's shed for you - the blood of Jesus Christ."

Joy painted this beautiful picture.  Sure wish I had that precious girl in the background in the picture - her Best Friend Rebekah.  Joy's spending the night with her and I'm so thankful for their precious friendship.

Everal and Glory made a bunch of water balloons for Field Day at Steubing.  When I woke up this morning, I saw Joy had decorated one as a princess.  Isn't she lovely?
